Hi All,

As I stroll around ETSY, I have been finding some bead suppliers with some really cool little charms and such in brass. I’ve really been inspired by the matte earthy tones of the vintage look lately. So, I decided to try combining some gemstones with such a look and this is what I’ve come up with recently. Enjoy.

By the way, November is American Indian Heritage month! Receive a 10% DISCOUNT in my shop WHEN YOU PURCHASE from the Southwest Jewelry section. Your savings will be refunded at the end of your purchase! Cheers!

New earrings

Hi ladies! I wanted to show off a new style of post earrings with beads and a cabochon.  They can be made with fringe or without. Look for more new stuff on Etsy.black-onyx-post-earrings3 T.

Hi ladies! While reading everything on Etsy, I read about a recommendation to have a team meeting, of sorts, to offer friendly feedback and helpful suggestions for each of us to improve our businesses.  Anyone interested? I try to check in here at least once a week to see what’s new. Also, I wanted to show everybody my latest earrings which are based on my son Jonny’s bear pattern. To all new members, a reminder that I am willing to trade anything in my Etsy shop plus I have parsley oregano and sage to trade as well. Stacey, thanks for the trade and barter link. Paula, I love your feather and am scheming on the sweatshirt for the upcoming cold winter. Theresa

I LOVE my shirt!

One of the amazing benefits of our group the Teepee Traders is we actually get to partake in the old fashion barter and trade system! Although, oddly enough, this system of exchanging goods and services instead of money is excitingly making a comeback. It appears that the advanced technological age has finally caught up with traditional customs, and I must admit, I am thrilled! check out this site for example Trade Away ~World’s Largest Online Barter Exchange Auction Site! Where you can Trade, Buy or Sell Anything!

Awesome!

For me, the Teepee Traders is my way of barter and trade. Recently I partook in a arts and crafts show to sell my goods but I also had a table representing many of the Teepee Traders items. Some of these items were created by Paula Bidwell of Native Talsiman Art on Etsy. Instead of paying me a commission for my time and effort, I chose this item

from her shop. Dude, I am psyched, I love it. I love the reproduction of her original piece of artwork and I love the saying, which resonates in me spiritually. So, get on over to her shop and get yourself one! You can’t beat the price and you’ll love sporting this awesome lightweight soft T-shirt with one of history’s most important philosophies.

ACEO’s are the hottest thing on the block these days in the fine art world, so what exactly is an ACEO?

“ACEO stands for “Art Cards, Editions and Originals”. These cards have one main rule – they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches – the size of a trading card.  The reason for this is, of course, that Art Cards are made to be traded! But while artists were happily trading cards, the general public was left out in the cold, having no Art Cards to trade. A group of artists realized this, and quickly made their cards available for sale at remarkably low prices so that everyone could join in the fun!

Cards are also sold either as originals or editions. Make sure you know which you are buying! If it is a print it should say so, and it should be numbered and signed, usually on the back.

Art Cards can be a riot! Artists from all over the world are creating, and now selling these little gems in different mediums and of different subjects. Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Colored Pencil, Pastels, Pyrography, Pen and Ink, Sketching, Collage – the sky is the limit. Abstract, Surrealism, Outsider Art, Impressionism, Expressionism -every style you can think of – and then some!. Every interest and subject is covered! Extremely collectable Pocket Art, you can’t stop at just one!”

You can now purchase ACEO’s of my fine art equine photography! I sell original fine art print collector’s cards. The print is signed and dated on either the front or back of the card! What a great way to own a piece of fine art if you’re not in the market for a full sized print. Go to the Wind Dancer Art store here to view my latest ACEO’s.

What can you do with an ACEO?
Many people collect them. Some put them in an album placed on the a coffee table for all to enjoy. Some people trade them with other collectors worldwide. Other include them in greeting and note cards or letters as a surprise gift They’re also used as art for Blythe doll houses. They can be framed in a tiny frame or put together to create your own collage. Use them as a book mark or make them into a magnet.

The print will be shipped inside a plastic sleeve in a protective envelope

Well here I am folks, finally introducing myself. I am a thirty something stay at home mom with a love of creating horse imagery and creative, healing beaded jewelry. I acquired a BA in Photography from Brook’s Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA in 1997 and have been photographing creatively for myself or for hire for 11 years. My favorite photographic subject is the horse. I belong to a twenty something BLM Mustang and a 14 year old Sorrel Appendix/Arab cross and now a 18 year old quarterhorse mare. My daughters love horses just as much as I do.

I began my beading adventures almost two years ago under the wisdom, guidance and inspiration of Theresa Flores Geary. I love working with the healing properties of gemstones and am inspired by traditional Native American beading patterns, techniques, symbolism and spirituality. My work combines a love affair for both muses and always has a connection to the natural magic of the southwest lands where I live! I own and operate two stores out of ETSY.

I am the co-founder (with Theresa), of this rapidly growing amazing group! Although we were originally motivated by the idea of cottage industries for women, we are truly excited to see where this idea goes from here (men are certainly welcome ;-) .

I too am open to trading among members and also am on board with Theresa and Paula for offering 30% off to other TT’s on cash purchases on our Etsy shops or in person.

Bright Blessings!
